Virtual Reality Developers Conference Fall 2017 Call for Submissions is now closed, thank you for your submissions!
VRDC Fall 2017 solicits proposals from speakers with deep industry expertise and innovative ideas from a particular niche or emerging area of the virtual and augmented reality. Submission criteria and guidelines are available below.
If you want to submit, please take note of the following:
VRDC Fall 2017 does not accept product or vendor-related submissions. If your talk is a thinly-veiled advertisement for a new product, technology or service your company is offering, please do not apply. If you would like to publicize a product, please contact our sales team for information on exhibiting and other vendor opportunities, including sponsored sessions in our partners track.
All Presentations Must be Submitted by Original Authors
Currently, we only accept submissions by the original authors of the presentations. PR firms, speaking relation firms, and all other parties who are not direct authors of submitted presentations are discouraged from submitting a proposal on behalf of their clients/speakers. We require direct contact with presenters to expedite questions during the submission review process.
The Advisory Board will review and rate submissions based on the following criteria:
Conference attendees are generally very intelligent. The material they're looking for is inspirational and/or provides a concrete, applicable takeaway that is not obvious. Attendees expect excellence from our speakers. After your presentation, they will evaluate it based on delivery, knowledge of the topic and the visuals presented.

Games & Entertainment
Expand your knowledge of how VR/AR is being developed to entertain in the Games & Entertainment Track. From active, heart pumping, first-person adventures to relaxing, passive immersion in alternate realities, VR/AR evolves entertainment beyond the screen and takes the user into the heart of the story itself. Whether you're a programmer, designer, producer, artist, or in business development, gain inspiration from ground-breaking work in game and entertainment VR/AR and learn skills to grow your expertise.
VR/AR takes brand immersion to a whole new level, allowing companies to create and share a comprehensive brand experience, helping to strengthen support from existing customers and develop new audiences from prospective customers. In the Brand Experience Track, learn directly from teams of creative developers and commercial experts about how their brands are applying VR/AR tech to develop unique and exciting brand experiences that not only leave the viewer excited about the brand, but excited to share their experience with their social network.
In the Innovation Track, learn from experts breaking ground on the frontier of VR/AR development. Hear in-depth lectures and panels illustrating how innovative VR/AR development has the power to influence nearly all aspects of life as we know it.
As you can see below, there are multiple time period choices. It's up to you to select the appropriate duration for your session.
|Lectures||60 or 30 minutes||Lectures are issue-oriented, provide concrete examples, and contain both practical and theoretical information. We generally prefer only one speaker but we may accept two if you can demonstrate the second person is necessary.|
|Panels||60 minutes||Panels take many different viewpoints on a topic or issue and combine them in one debate session with a moderator. Debate among panelists (with very different opinions) is welcome and audience participation time should be accounted for. We prefer 60 minute time for this format and no more than 5 people. Include all of the panelists you have confirmed in the proposal. A very limited number of panels will be accepted.|
